Legal Policy On Narcotic Drugs And Psychotropics In Indonesia

Abstract

Legal policy is a tool used by state administrators to shape the national legal system. Building a legal policy that protects the public from the abuse of narcotics and psychotropic substances is crucial. In 2025, the Narcotics and Psychotropics Bill was included in the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) to be discussed by the House of Representatives (DPR) and the government. The legal policy of the Draft Law on Narcotics and Psychotropics aims to integrate and update the handling of narcotics and psychotropic substances within a more comprehensive legislative framework, with a focus on health and rehabilitation.
