Abstract
This study aims to optimize the role of Karang Taruna in Rajabasa Lama Village, East Lampung, as an agent for promoting digital literacy among Generation Alpha. Generation Alpha, born between 2010 and 2025, is growing up in the digital age, making digital literacy crucial for their development. As a community-based youth organization, Karang Taruna has great potential in facilitating access to digital knowledge for local children and adolescents. The research methodology adopted an ex post facto qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results revealed various obstacles faced by Karang Taruna, such as limitations in infrastructure and digital competence, as well as mitigation strategies such as content management training. The findings emphasize that the role of Karang Taruna can help the development of digital literacy, especially for Generation Alpha. The study recommends establishing partnerships with local governments and educational institutions to develop sustainable programs. Thus, Generation Alpha in these villages is expected to have strong digital skills, ready to face the dynamics of the information age. This study is expected to serve as a model for other rural communities in advancing digital literacy.
